Managing keywords & clusters

Steer review, fix clusters, map pages, and control pace and budgets.

The Keyword Universe runs on its own, but you can steer it. This page covers the controls you will reach for most.

Why a keyword was kept or excluded

During review, Maark's classifier decides whether each candidate keyword is relevant to your brand. If something you care about was excluded:

  • Check the reason and when it was last reviewed. It may have been judged under older brand context.
  • If your Brand DNA has improved since, re-queue the excluded keywords — they return to the candidate pool and are reviewed again with current context.
  • If exclusions are mostly language-based, set your project's default language so foreign-language queries are handled correctly.

Good brand context is the biggest lever on review quality — the richer your brand description, audience, and product info, the better the verdicts.

Fixing clusters

Clusters group keywords by intent, but sometimes need a nudge:

  • Move mis-clustered keywords into the right cluster.
  • Split a cluster that mixes two different intents.
  • Exclude keywords that do not belong, or re-include ones that were removed.

You can do this in the dashboard, or ask a connected assistant to do it — see What your AI can do.

Mapping clusters to pages

Each cluster should be owned by one page. Maark proposes mappings from the evidence — existing rankings, title and URL match, page type fit, and content similarity. You review and approve. When there is no good page for a cluster, that is a coverage gap worth a new page.

Controlling pace and budgets

Each project gives you stage-level controls so spend and speed stay predictable:

  • Pause stages independently — review, enrichment, search-results checks, or clustering — without pausing everything.
  • Set per-stage budgets so a stage stops once it hits your monthly cap, rather than running unbounded.
  • Burst a project to the front of the queue when you want it processed first.

These controls live on the Keyword Universe pipeline view and are available to admins. They let you tune how aggressively Maark works a project — full speed for a priority client, gentle for a site you are watching.
