Troubleshooting & getting help
Fixes for common setup snags — and how to reach a human.
Most issues come down to a connection or a setting. Here are the quick fixes, and how to reach us if they do not do it.
Google Search Console
- No properties show up when connecting. The Google account you connected may not have access to that property in Search Console. Add it there first, then reload the property list in Maark.
- The connection shows a warning. A single failed sync does not mean the connection is broken — Maark judges health from the connection itself, not one transient error. Reconnect only if the connection is flagged as invalid.
- Data looks thin at first. Maark pulls an initial history window and keeps syncing on a schedule; coverage fills in over the following days. See Connect Google Search Console.
Shopify publishing
- The install failed or expired. Ask the store's admin to re-approve the install, then reconnect from Settings → Projects → Shopify Publishing.
- Publishing says there is no active connection. Re-open that section and confirm the status reads Connected. See Connect Shopify.
Keyword Universe
- A keyword I care about is excluded. Check the exclusion reason and when it was last reviewed. If your Brand DNA has improved since, re-queue the keyword so it is reviewed with current context. See Managing keywords & clusters.
- Mapping suggestions look off. Mapping leans on your rankings, page titles and URLs, page types, and content similarity. Thin coverage on any of these weakens the suggestions; they improve as your crawl and Search Console data fill in.
AI connections
- My assistant cannot see a project. The project must be enabled for external agent access, and your key or sign-in must be scoped to include it. Check Org Settings → External agent access.
- A write did not happen. Your connection may be read-scoped, or the change may be waiting in an approval queue. See Agent access & safety.
Billing
- The autopilot paused. You may be out of credits. Top up, enable auto-refill, or wait for your cycle reset — it resumes automatically. See Balance, top-ups & auto-refill.
